Black Frat And Sorority Exempt From Harvard’s Sanctions

Published

on

Fraternities and sororities at Harvard University have been shutting down and going co-ed because of a new policy that strips students belonging to single-gender groups of their ability to get faculty recommendations for prestigious scholarships and their ability to apply for campus leadership positions. But there are still two single-gender groups that Harvard students can join without getting punished.

Those are sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha and fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha, according to The Harvard Crimson. These organizations, while open respectively to women and men of any race, consist largely of black women and men.

Now, here’s the catch: it’s not that Harvard is discriminating in favor of blacks. The school might actually be discriminating against Asians, but that’s something we’ll get to in a moment. No, Harvard told me that the sanctions “are not applicable in this case because the groups are not comprised primarily of Harvard College students.”

You see, the two Greek organizations span multiple colleges. Alpha Kappa Alpha includes Harvard, Wellesley, and MIT students, whereas Alpha Phi Alpha is open to Harvard, Tufts, and MIT students. Still, that doesn’t seem very fair…it should be either everyone gets freedom of association without consequences or no one, right?

But this isn’t the only confusing action that cultural Marxism has caused Harvard to take. As I alluded to earlier, the school rescinded admission offers for ten students who, in a private Facebook group, shared pictures and messages that Harvard deemed offensive. The school’s also in hot water for allegedly discriminating against Asian American applicants on the basis of their personality.

That case will go to court in less than a couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

Harvard Group Says ‘F*** ICE,’ Hosts ‘UndocuGraduation’

Published

on

Harvard University’s Act on a Dream student group hosted an “Undocugraduation” last week, according to Campus Reform. The event was apparently attended by more than 50 students, staff, and administrators of the Harvard community.

You’ve heard of black-only graduations, but have you heard of ones exclusively for illegals? You might think I’m comparing apples and oranges here, but I don’t think it’s too difficult to imagine an America in, let’s say, 2050, where slavery is placed on the same pedestal as national borders. Some people probably already do equate the two.

Harvard’s Act on a Dream group posted to Facebook in March, saying “Fuck ICE and [Customs and Border Patrol]! All these racist institutions have got to go.”

Harvard also apparently doesn’t consider citizenship status at all when awarding financial aid And the Ivy League school is far from the only one catering to illegals. Law school clinics in New Jersey recently received a quarter of a million dollars to represent illegal aliens facing deportation on a pro-bono basis. Over a third of American states allow illegal aliens to obtain IN-STATE tuition — this is all, of course, while American citizens from other states, on average, have to pay over two times as much to attend the same schools. And last month, New York doled out $27 million for children of illegal aliens, while refusing to add money to a fund that’s a tenth the size helping children of fallen soldiers.

Just another day in clown world, fam.

Harvard Drops Dean Representing Harvey Weinstein

Published

on

If you attend Harvard, you might find yourself living in Winthrop College, one of the Ivy League school’s residential houses. And your dean would be a bloke by the name of Ronald Sullivan, who also serves as a law professor and director of Harvard’s Criminal Justice Institute there.

Ronald is keeping his professor and director gigs, but the school announced that it will not be renewing his contract as a residential dean, reported Inside Higher Ed. You see, some students and outside agitators probably are upset that Ronald is helping provide legal defense for alleged rapist Harvey Weinstein.

Harvard student Danu Mudannayake created a petition, saying that in Ronald’s “role as a House Dean, his defense of [Weinstein] induces a great amount of fear and hurt in victims of the crimes that Weinstein is accused of, and although anyone facing the law is innocent until proven guilty, the scope of the Weinstein case still literally shakes people on this campus to this day. His role on Weinstein’s team, and position as a community leader, are NOT mutually exclusive and the former has incredibly harmful implications for the latter.”

The word of the day here on Campus Unmasked is “compartmentalize.” It’s what we can do what all of these pseudo-intellectual fruitcakes seemingly cannot. The courtroom is not real life. I mean, this is like arguing that you’re not gonna let a guy babysit your kid because he played a serial killer in a movie. It’s silly and, worse, it’s anti-intellectual. Remember that this is the same school where students found learning about rape law triggering. If you don’t have these discussions in college and punish the people who can provide another point of view, you’re going to be a pretty crummy lawyer.

Harvard ‘Diversity’ Speaker: Christians Should Be ‘Locked Up’

Published

on

Last week, Harvard hosted Tim Wise, a speaker whom the school termed an “anti-racism writer,” to talk about how Harvard can become more inclusive, reported The College Fix. In the past few years, the Ivy League school has decided to punish students who join single-gender groups like frats and is getting sued for allegedly discriminating against Asian American applicants based on their personality, but I don’t think Tim cares too much about those problems.

Now It’s hard to tell why Harvard would invite a straight white guy like Tim, until you take a look at his opinions. When former Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann said that people need to repent to God over gay marriage and abortion, Tim said “If you are basing your morality on a fairy tale written thousands of years ago, you deserve to be locked up.” He later said he was “sorta kidding” but that people like Michele “can either change, or shut the hell up, or practice their special brand of crazy in their homes…or go away.”

Tim’s one of those lovable guys who doesn’t just want you to be quiet or go away if you disagree with him, but also wants to torpedo your career and education. He suggested during his talk that college admission offices should admit or deny students based on their commitment to social justice and also recommended something akin to the Marshall Plan — used by America to rebuild European economies after World War II — he suggested we use something like that to pay black people reparations for slavery.

So a progressive administration picking a far-left activist to speak apparently passes as diversity and I’ll leave you with a similar story that caught my eye when I was on The College Fix. A student at the University of Notre Dame who has tweeted things like “Catholic marriage isn’t about love” and that men “don’t deserve opinions” was recently confirmed as the student government’s Gender Relations Department director.

Another far-left dude in academia as diversity? Man-hating just dandy for someone in charge of gender relations? Just another day in clown world, aye?
